The Hand-woven silk is made in villages in eastern India. The entire process from yarn spinning to dyeing, weaving and finishing is done entirely by hand. There is no mechanical process involved in any stage in the weaving of the fabric. The fabric is woven in old traditional handlooms. Hence, shading, uneven construction, color bands and various inconsistencies seen on the surface of the fabric is the natural look and characterize feature of this fabric. Exposure to direct sunlight may cause fading, therefore the fabric is not guaranteed against fading and colorfastness.
